The pressure balance trim is suitable for a one-function installation, such as a single showerhead or handshower. Do not install a shut-off device on either outlet of this valve. Use of such a device can defeat the ability of the valve to balance the hot and cold water pressures. The pressure balance trim may be used in a tub/shower application using a diverter tub spout.
